Most of what I do is everyday veterinary medicine. But for some animals, conventional medicine alone isn’t enough. A senior dog with arthritis who can’t tolerate more anti-inflammatories. A cat recovering from surgery whose pain is harder to manage than expected. A dog whose mobility is fading with age.

For these patients, I'm trained in veterinary acupuncture and use it alongside conventional care – together when it helps, separately when it doesn't. This isn’t alternative medicine. It’s medicine, with more options.

What a course looks like

Acupuncture works gradually, not instantly. A typical course begins with weekly sessions to establish a response, then settles into monthly maintenance for ongoing conditions. Some animals respond after the first session; most need a short series before the change is clear. I’ll be honest with you early about whether it’s helping – if it isn’t the right approach for your pet, I’ll tell you.
